Velphoro is used to control phosphorus levels in people with chronic kidney disease who are on\u00a0dialysis.<\/p>\n

Warnings<\/strong> Before taking this medicine<\/strong><\/p>\n You should not use Velphoro if you are allergic to sucroferric oxyhydroxide.<\/p>\n To make sure Velphoro is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have ever had:<\/p>\n iron overload disorder (hemochromatosis);<\/p>\n liver disease;<\/p>\n a stomach or intestinal disorder; or<\/p>\n stomach or intestinal surgery.<\/p>\n Ask a doctor before using Velphoro if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.<\/strong><\/p>\n This medicine is not approved for use by anyone younger than 18 years old.<\/strong><\/p>\n How should I take Velphoro?<\/strong><\/p>\n Take Velphoro exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Follow all directions on your prescription label.<\/p>\n Your doctor may occasionally change your dose.
