Description
Sunitinib amends the activity of various enzymes involved in tumor growth, pathologic angiogenesis, and metastatic progression of cancer.
- Sunitinib is indicated in adult patients for the treatment of the following conditions:
- The treatment of gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) after disease progression on or intolerance to imatinib mesylate.
- The treatment of advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC).
the adjuvant treatment of adult patients at high risk of recurrent RCC following nephrectomy. - The treatment of progressive, well-differentiated pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (pNET) in patients with unresectable locally advanced or metastatic disease.
How to use:
- If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
- Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.
- 12.5Mg or 25Mg once daily,in special cases used 50Mg daily.
Caution & Warnings:
- Before taking Sunitinib, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.
- Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medications including over-the-counter non-prescription medicines, prescription medicines, herbal supplements, vitamins, and supplements.
Adverse Reactions:
- Fatigue
- Diarrhea
- Nausea
- Decreased appetite
- Vomiting
- Abdominal pain
- Hypertension, bleeding event
- Dysgeusia/altered taste
