Description
Avotrene Emulgel is a topical anti-inflammatory and analgesic preparation indicated for the symptomatic management of localized pain and swelling associated with musculoskeletal conditions.
The formulation contains Diclofenac Diethylamine, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that exerts its therapeutic effect by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins involved in inflammatory processes.
The emulgel base is designed for rapid percutaneous absorption, ensuring the active pharmaceutical ingredient reaches the target tissues effectively without leaving a greasy residue.
It provides a cooling sensation upon application, which helps to alleviate discomfort in cases of sprains, strains, contusions, and soft tissue trauma.
This preparation is also indicated for the management of symptoms related to mild osteoarthritis and common back pain.
It is suitable for use by adults and adolescents aged 12 years and above.
Administration
Apply a thin layer of the emulgel to the affected area and massage gently until fully absorbed.
The application may be repeated three to four times daily as needed.
Avoid application on broken, damaged, or irritated skin, and do not use on open wounds.
